In mid 1994 16 Class 47s were renumbered into the 47384 to 47399 range to indicate their multiple capabilities. Here two of these Class 47s No's. 47384 and 47389 "The Halewood Transmission" double head a Leeds to Southampton intermodal working through Catholme on 18th March 1995. No. 47384 was renumbered later in 1995 back to No. 47226 and was cut up in April 2008. No. 47389 was changed back to No. 47309 and lasted until February 2009.
