Class U Mogul No. 31806 at Alresford on 11th August 2012. Originally built in 1926 as Maunsell Class K 2-6-4T No.A806 River Torridge, the locomotive was re-built at Brighton Works and re-entered service in June 1928. Withdrawn from BR at the end January 1964 and sent, along with many others, to Woodhams at Barry for scrapping, but now survives in private ownership and is a regular performer on The Mid-Hants (Watercress) Line.
