GWR 4900 Class 4-6-0 No. 4979 Wootton Hall stands at Appleby Station on 9th February 2013. Built at Swindon in 1930 the locomotive is one of 11 that survive out of the 259 built. In poor condition the Furness Railway Trust have applied preventative maintenance until restoration work can commence.
