Streamlined Chesapeake and Ohio "Yellowbelly" class L1 No. 490 is displayed in June 1998 at the Baltimore and Ohio museum, Baltimore. This 4-6-4 Hudson is a 1946 rebuild of an 1926 Alco Pacific to haul "The Chessie" a fast passenger service from Washington DC to Cincinatti which never actually ran commercially due to lack of passengers for that route. Called a yellowbelly because the front and upper surfaces of the boiler were painted yellow. The lower parts were stainless steel.
