Built by Neilson & Co. Ltd, Glasgow in 1870 No. 1 worked in Beckton Gasworks, London carrying, at different times, the names Alderman and Lord Mayor and running ultimately unnamed. In 1963 it was presented to the Industrial Locomotive Society by the North Thames Gas Board and is on permanent loan to the National Trust being displayed at Penrhyn Castle near Bangor, North Wales on 13th September 2012.
