To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the closure of the Plymouth to Launceston line on 29th December 1962 and celebrate the reopening of the line to Plym Bridge, the Plym Valley Railway ran a number of special trains from Marsh Mills, on Sunday 30th December 2012. The inaugural train was worked by Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST Albert, with BR Class 08 No. 13002 on the rear, and is seen here departing from Marsh Mills. The headboard reads 'Plym Bridge Platform opened May 1906 by Great Western Railway. Closed December 1962 by British Railways. Reopened December 2012 by The Plym Valley Railway'.
