Former BR Class 03 0-6-0 diesel shunter No. D2128 is pictured hauling a four coach 14:30 Darley Dale to Matlock Riverside service on Saturday 16th October 1993. After withdrawal from BR service in 1976 as No. 03128 the locomotive was sent to Birds scrapyard at Long Marston for component removal but was bought and exported minus its engine to Belgium. It is understood this was its first passenger working on the Peak Rail line following its repatriation to the UK in the early 1990's.
