Following the Virgin Pendolino accident at Grayrigg extensive diversions were in force and for 2 days only 4S43 04.30 Daventry-Grangempouth Tescoliner was diverted via the S&C. On 2nd March 2007 the dedicated DRS Class 66 No. 66411 Eddie the Engine heads north on the train at Waitby north of Kirkby Stephen as EWS Class 66 No. 66037 heads south on 6E85 05.00 Hunterston-Drax PS loaded coal.
