One of three SAR Class 25 locomotives that escaped conversion to non-condensing No. 3511 'Frieda' is being restored at Beaconsfield, Kimberley by the Steamnet 2000 Preservation Group. Built by the North British Locomotive Company (Works No. 27371) this was one of ninety constructed for South African Railways between 1953 and 1955, and seen here on 19th October 2012.
