The December timetable change marked the end of an era between Amsterdam and Brussels. After 55 years the Benelux train service has been replaced by FYRA V250 high speed trains using the High Speed line. On the last day of operation Benelux 9248 (the 14:46 from Amsterdam to Brussels) was hauled by proper motive power as was the case before the Traxx locomotives showed up.
