TLs (Transport Publics de la Region Lausannoise) Metro Line 2 No. 253 descends the 12% gradient from Lausanne Gare (SBB) to Ouchy on 19th November 2012. These two car, pneumatic tyred, third rail 750v Dc side contact, fully automatic units were built by Alstom and introduced in 2007 replacing the original rack railway.
