Preserved and displayed in York NRM on 3rd October 2012 is the nameplate of 2750 Papyrus. Whilst on the return leg of a special trial train from Newcastle to King's Cross on 5th March 1935 achieved a speed of 108 mph on Stoke Bank while being driven by William Sparshatt.
