Engineering working 6D44 from Bescot to Toton occasionally has 1 or 2 additional locomotives dead-in-train to transfer between depots. However, on 5th November 2012 6D44 offered the rare sight of a quintuple header, with 3 different locomotive types! Here seen at Willington, Class 67 No. 67026 Diamond Jubilee heads 6D44, towing Classmate No. 67029 Royal Diamond, Class 66s Nos. 66047 and 66063 and Class 60 No. 60065 Spirit of Jaguar, with 5 autoballasters behind.
