'Off route' is the 10:00 London King's Cross to Edinburgh, pictured joining the West Coast Main Line at Carlisle as part of East Coast diversions via the Tyne Valley on Sunday 14th October 2012. The train was formed by East Coast HST powercars Class 43 No. 43314 (front) and No. 43320 (rear), along with Midland Main Line-coloured coaching stock with East Coast logos applied.
