Short lived Porterbrook liveried purple Deltic No. 55016 (9016) sits at the temporary terminus of Irwell Vale at the East Lancs diesel gala on 7th July 2002. Irwell Vale was being used as a temporary terminus because of flooding which had damaged bridge supports on the line to Rawtenstall.
