With Portsmouth Dockyard and the masts of HMS Warrior in the background, WCRC Class 47/7 No. 47760 departs from Portsmouth Harbour working 5Z23 to Fratton Carriage Sidings, which was the empty stock from a Vintage Trains charter from Solihull, on 22nd September 2012. The scene is reminiscent of when the class were regular visitors on summer Saturday inter-regional workings to and from destinations such as Wolverhampton, York and Newcastle, in the 1970s and 1980s.
