On the left of the photograph Class 43 No. 43301 trails at the rear of 1V54, 06:32 XC service from Dundee to Plymouth while heading in the opposite direction is an unidentified Class 220 4-coach Voyager unit working 1E36, 09:36 XC service from Southampton Central to Newcastle. The two trains are seen passing one another at the south end of Burton-on-Trent Station on 22nd August 2012.
