Stanier Pacific No. 46229 'Duchess of Hamilton' in BR Maroon livery backs on to a SLOA Cumbrian Mountain Express charter at leeds before departing for Appleby on 14th July 1990. The return leg to Leeds was hauled by Stanier Jubilee No. 45596 'Bahamas'. The charter originated in London and was unusually hauled from King's Cross by a brand new Class 91 No. 91007 before they entered regular use.
