Class 15 No. D8243, ADB968000, is seen in a siding at London Marylebone on 23rd April 1988. This is one of the four BTH Type 1s that were converted into non-powered electric train pre-heating units at Doncaster Works, and at the time it was the last one in service and was being used to heat charter stock working out of Marylebone. Unfortunately unlike sister loco No. D8233 preservation didn't beckon for No. D8243 as it was cut up at Vic Berry's in 1991.
