The Acela Express is Amtrak's high-speed rail service along the North East Corridor (NEC) in the United States between Washington, D.C. and Boston via Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York. The design of the trains, with identical 6,000 horsepower (4,470 kW) power cars at each end and operating on a voltage of 11,000 volts AC resemble France's TGV with certain components directly derived from the TGV. On 3rd July 2012 Acela Express power car No. 2030 roars through Rahway, New Jersey with train No. 2154, the 07:00 Washington DC to Boston service.
