Class 50 No. 50044 Exeter leads the 1Z50 GBRF staff charter from Cardiff to Paignton on Saturday 21st July 2012. Later on during the return journey, 50044 expired close to Bristol Temple Meads and was subsequently diagnosed with a serious engine fault.
