The NNR had a 'Titfield Thunderbolt' theme weekend, 22nd to 24th June 2012, which was to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the filming of the famous Ealing Studios comedy film 'The Titfield Thunderbolt'. Holt Station became 'Titfield', while Sheringham became 'Mallingford'. Depicted here is the race from Titfield to Mallingford between 'Pearce and Crump Coach Company's' Bedford OB coach and, playing the part of 'The Titfield Thunderbolt', GWR 14xx Class No. 1401 hauling a Wisbech and Upwell Tramcar (sister to that used in the film). They're seen here, rail and road, passing at the A149 Coast Road Bridge on 23rd June 2012.
