Single car units towing unpowered trailers were once a common sight on French branchlines, but have now been largely replaced. On 29th May 2012 X2100 Class No. X2148 arrives at Montreuil Sur Ille leading an unpowered trailer and No. X2144 to form the 11:03 to Rennes.
