A view of the Epping and Ongar Railways restored, Great Eastern Railway Type 7, signal box at Ongar station. The top half of the box was originally used at Spellbrook, which is 10 miles to the north of Epping, near Bishops Stortford, and had been in storage at the Mangapps Museum. The original box was demolished by London Transport in the 1980's, as it had been unused since the closure of the goods yard in 1969. The original Saxby and Farmer lever frame, from 1888, has also been found and fitted to the box. The plan now is to restore the box to full operational use.
