A Diesel gala in Dorset. This photo contradicts that statement in two ways. A steam train passes a sign that saya Scotland - 1 mile. It's the Swanage Railway's Diesel Gala on Friday 11th May 2012 at which problems beset the railway with the non-arrival of half of their attractons. A well publicised breakdown of the convoy loco Class 47 No. 47375 being the cause. Steam loco No. 80104 was fired up to fill the gap left in the hastily rearranged timetable and even entered into the spirit by sporting a "D" prefix to the loco number. This is the steam loco departing from Norden with the 15.15 service to Swanage.
