Glorious, but bitterly cold January sunshine at Tondu on 15th January 2012 sees DBS Class 60, numbered No. 60054 taking the Bridgend line having earlier run-round its train while working the diverted 6M41 from Margam to Llanwern with traffic for onward movement to Round Oak. The line above the leading wagons carries the Arriva Trains Wales service to / from Maesteg. Behind the signal gantry are the many trees that have grown on the site of the former steam shed at Tondu (88H) closed in February 1964.
