On the day of the winter solstice, power generation is very much the theme. With it's destination firmly in view, Freightliner PowerHaul Class 70 No. 70005 hauls 6F02, Ellesmere Port – Fiddlers Ferry loaded coal hoppers through Daresbury on 22nd December 2011. Despite the apparent close proximity, the train will not reach its destination for another hour due to the need for reversal at Latchford Sidings, Warrington.
