No. 57309 with Delner deployed approaches 390024 to couple up on 19 November 2011. The move was to facillitate the Pendolino getting to Longsight Depot but although the two Dellners mated, the complicated bit to allow the computer on the Pendolino to talk to the 57/3 appeared to fail again. The driver's brains were probably hurting after attempts sort out the problem over a 30 minute period failed to work and No. 57309 returned to the stabling point at the north rnd of the station. It is believed that the 390 made it's own way to Longsight#.
