At 0658 on 03rd October 2011, No. 150269 on the 0619 Blackpool North to Manchester Victoria service became the first train to call at the new Buckshaw Parkway station. There were a number of representatives from Network Rail and Northern to greet the first passengers. With the passengers on-board the guard rejoins her train for the first departure.
