Known as the Zermatt shuttle, these 5 car sets just transfer people between Zermatt and Tasch, the next town down the valley. Zermatt has a ban in place forbidding diesel / petrol vehicles from entering its boundary. All vehicles, other than electric vehicles, have to park in the acres of concrete multi-storey car parks in Tasch and ride up on the shuttles. It's amazing how unpolluted the air is in Zermatt! This 5 car set is BDt No. 2241 and is departs from Zermatt in glorious sunshine for the short trip to Tasch.
