The highest point of Mt. Gornergrat is a further 42m than the station which stands at 3,089m.
A magnificent mountainous panorama spreads out in front of you for 360 degrees. Besides the unmistakable sight of The Matterhorn, 29 other four-thousand-plus-meter high peaks and countless glaciers can be spied on a glorious day like the day I visited, on 20th September 2011.
