Class 56 No. 56051 in Chatham Dockyard on 27th April 1993, with contaminated spoil empties having arrived from Forders Sidings, near Bedford. When the naval dockyard shut, most of the soil from the submarine base had to be removed in covered containers and was dumped in the old brick pits in Bedfordshire, resulting in these trains running six days a week.
