BR Swindon Type 1 0-6-0 Diesel Hydraulic Locomotive D9520 stands in the shed at Wansford, during the railway’s East Meets West Steam Gala on 10th September 2011. Built in 1964, it was one of fifty six, which were later designated as Class 14s. Taken on by Stewart & Lloyds Minerals Ltd in 1968, it became No. 24 (Plant No. 8311/24), and hauled the ironstone to the exchange sidings.
