Tranz Scenic Bo-Bo-Bo Electric locomotive No. 30192 on the head of the Southbound Overlander heading towards Wellington, seen at National Park station on 16th January 2010. This service is diesel hauled from Auckland to Hamilton and between Palmerston North and Wellington. The electric locos take over for the middle section with the substantial climb up through the volcanoes!.
