The mid-afternoon Preston to Ormskirk service on 18th June 2011 with No. 153315 arrives at Croston station. This former L&Y station is looked after by the Friends of Croston station and the now disused Preston bound platform to the left of the unit is now receiving some TLC from the group. Some of the original lattice pattern blockwork is being uncovered during the tidy up.
