An unidentified class 40 heads a football special from Liverpool along the Woodhead route near Hazelhead towards Penistone on 12th April 1980. The train was bound for Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield, where supporters would disembark for the short walk to Hillsborough, for the FA Cup semi-final between Arsenal and Liverpool.
