Built in 1876? Actually no, for Single Fairlie 'Taliesin' is a virtual replica built at Boston Lodge and entering service in 1999,though it is slightly larger than the original, which was dismated in 1932. Here it stands with 1979-built Double Fairlie 'Earl of Merioneth' prior to working the 13.35 service from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog in Top and Tail mode on Boxing Day on 26th December 2010. The enclosed cab of the Single Fairlie, making 'Taliesin' popular with the loco crews.
