In July 1976, their last summer in service, Western Class No. 1051 Western Patriarch departs from the carraige sidings at Newton Abbot with the stock of the 12:00 Paignton - Paddington. Today only the platform line remains, the remainder of the former sidings and loco Depot having been re-developed as light industrial units.
