NR have recently published proposals to alleviate the flat junction from the WCML to the NSR line at Norton Bridge. Of the three alternatives one would pass through the field behind No. 66606 on 6U76 7.53 CreweVQ-Mountsorrel in a cutting up to 10 metres deep before flying over the WCML north of the present junction site.
