An unusual and rare visitor to Eastbourne on 20th June 1991 was Large Logo liveried Class 47/4 No. 47972.This was one of a small batch of locomotives operated by the Derby based research department Here the locomotive is seen stabled in one of the EMU berths situated north of Eastbourne station.
