A rare appearance of GWR 'Castle' No. 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' on the S&C route occurred on 16th October 2010 when the locomotive headed a Vintage Trains charter which had originated at Tyseley. The 'Castle' is pictured on the Hellifield-Carlisle leg, having just passed through Horton-in Ribblesdale ruuning slightly early. Green liveried Class 47 No. 47773 was attached to the rear.
