No. 18 of the San Luis Rio Grande Railroad, an oil burning 2-6-0 built by ALCO in 1910, waits with its train in Alamosa Depot on the 16th June 2010 ready to depart with the La Veta Mountaineer over the 9,242 foot Le Veta Pass, the highest pass which any standard gauge train runs in the USA.
