'First in Class' dual-voltage FCC Thameslink Class 319 No. 319.001 leaves Luton on the 17.38 departure to Sutton on Friday 23rd April 2010. The upside of the station at the south end is now overshadowed by the construction of a new multi-storey car park. This is the first significant phase in the major project to totally redevelop the station and its environs, identified by the Secretary of State for Transport as one the the country's 'top ten' worst stations.
