Bi-mode AGC unit No. 81604 has just joined the Haute Alpes line with a Marsailles-Briancon service at the junction between Aspres and Veynes. This is one of over 770 units being delivered to SNCF, and are responsible for the elimination of many loco hauled services. This particular variant can operate from either the integral diesel engines or draw down electrical power via the pantograph on the final vehicle
