A number of SR-design 2-HAP units were converted in the late 1970s to 2-SAP units, by down-grading the first class section to second class. One such unit is seen here arriving at Clapham Junction, with the corridor side of the ex-composite leading vehicle visible. These were the only units of the SR-EPB design to have corridors, albeit only within the car. Note that the last door on this coach is not properly closed, quite a frequent occurence in slam-door days.
