A recently uploaded photo by Peter Watson of BR Standard 4-6-2 No. 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' showed the loco at Crewe in 1967 awaiting disposal. Here, 18 months on, the 'Duke' stands in Woodham Bros. scrapyard at Barry, looking in a sorry state. Thankfully the loco was rescued and returned to working order.
