Running without the 'D' prefix, Sulzer type 4 no. 77 (later 45004) 'Royal Irish Fusilier' arrives into Newton Abbot with a South West - North East express in August 1970. The locomotive was withdrawn in December 1985 and was scrapped in November 1988.
