Merchant Navy Pacific No. 35028 'Clan Line' slips as its restarts a heavy VSOE circular tour from a signal stop near Stewarts Lane, Battersea, South London, at exactly the same time as the driver of Southern class 455 no. 455823 also restarts his train from a signal stop above the 'Merchant Navy'. The VSOE train was already 25 minutes late at this early stage in its journey, but made up the time en route, despite a near-stall in drizzle at Streatham junction on the return leg.
