Still looking in relatively good condition given its circumstances is Intercity liveried Class 86/2 No 86228 Vulcan Heritage - its name reflecting where it is was originally built at the Vulcan Foundry - Newton Le Willows. It was also only the 2nd stored locomotive that still retained its original nameplates. Seen at Long Marston on 6th June 09.
