"Tied down" adjacent to Highway 276, just outside Mauldin, SC, are Carolina Piedmont Railroad GP38-2's no. 3899 and no. 3811. The day shift crew have just departed and the evening crew will not arrive for another 7 - 8 hours. The evening crew will return the train to the yard in Laurens, switching out the spurs of several industrial customers along the way.
